A pricing specialist is responsible for accepting and pricing the merchandise that gets sold on the floor. These associates work behind the scenes at Stuff Etc to select the best items for consignment. We have openings both full time & part time, both day and night shifts. Pricing team members work 2 weekend shifts per month.

Responsibilities include:
– sorting merchandise
– determining what is sellable
– assigning prices to merchandise that has been accepted for consignment (based on training guidelines)

Assistant Store Manager

Description

The basic function of the Assistant Manager is to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the store. As a working Manager, the Assistant Manager is responsible for assuring a clean, friendly and efficient receiving and retail area where both customers and consignors are the highest priorities. The Assistant Manager is responsible for enforcing company policies, identifying staffing and scheduling, and directing the work of individuals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Manager include the following, but not limited to:

  • Assist in managing the daily operations.
  • Regularly review the store and property, checking for cleanliness, merchandise stocks and special needs, etc.
  • Assure all jobs are properly staffed and shift personnel as necessary for effective operations and customer service.
  • Assist in managing daily staff.
  • Assist in the interview, hire and orientation of new employees..
  • Assist in the preparation and conduct of performance evaluations for all employees.
  • Conduct fair and consistent discipline as necessary.
  • Maintain all reports, logs, paperwork and required records. Including up-to-date employee files.

Requirements
  • All applicants must have a minimum of 3 years Retail Management experience.
  • Applicants must have good oral and written communication skills. Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft word and excel is preferred.
  • Applicants must have open availability, able to work a rotating weekend schedule and 4 night shifts per month.
  • Applicants must be able to stand on their feet for their entire shift, lift up to 50 pounds and have a valid driver’s license.

Hard Lines Supervisor

Description

Seeking an individual who has had previous supervisory experience and must be punctual, responsible, & trustworthy. Great work ethic and excellent customer service skills is essential. Ideal individual would also have a love for home décor, organization, trends and  fashion and an appreciation for something new every day.

A Hard Lines Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all processed hard line items are stocked in a timely manner.  This supervisor is responsible for keeping all hard line departments cleaned, organized and well displayed.  As a working supervisor, this position requires arranging the work for others and also completing some of the tasks to ensure productivity requirements are met on a daily basis.

  • Manage daily operations.

  • Interview, hire and orient new employees.
  • Prepare monthly work schedules, and adjust as necessary.
  • Prepare and conduct performance evaluations for all employees.
  • Conduct fair and consistent discipline as necessary.
  • Maintain all reports, logs, paperwork and required records. Including up-to-date employee files.

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

The General Manager shall be deemed to be performing in an acceptable manner when the following have been accomplished:

  • All above listed duties are performed in a timely, orderly and accurate manner.
  • The store is operating successfully, with honesty and integrity.
  • Attaining or beating financial goals and budgets.
  • A friendly and business like atmosphere is maintained with clients and fellow employees.
