Our mission is to provide material items with a longer life span. Reduce, Renew, Reuse, it’s in our DNA. We believe sustainability is essential for the environment. If we can’t sell it in our stores then we recycle as much as we can, keeping millions of pounds of products out of our landfills.

Our journey to Stuff Etc
Stuff Etc® Quality Consignment Stores are currently Iowa’s largest department consignment store group. It certainly didn’t start that way, nor did we ever imagine it would grow so dramatically.
We started out in 1985 with the name of Kids Stuff and Kountry Kreations. Our first storefront in Iowa City was on Highland Court in a 750 square foot building, in a light industrial area where we shared our building with a bar and a sheet metal shop. We dealt only with children’s merchandise and country crafts. In spite of the lousy location for retail, our business started to grow.
Our Mission
Stuff Etc is a consignment service operation that is dedicated to providing consignors the best return on their merchandise, while providing buyers with quality, low cost shopping. Considering both the consignors and buyers as our customers, everything we do at Stuff Etc is focused on complete customer satisfaction.

I spoke with the sweetest woman on the phone about a chair I "neeeeded". It was a half hour to closing and I was in Cedar Rapids. I made it before they closed!!! And as soon as I walked in the door she was there asking if I was the one that called and took me to the chair, gave us a furniture dolly to take it up front and said "I told them that even if you got here after close to let you in". I heart this lady, I can't even say how much I appreciate her. Give this woman a raise!!!
