Steps to Ownership
As the largest quality consignment department store in the Midwest, Stuff Etc knows what it takes to build a successful franchise business. With over 33 years of evolution and business experience, we have developed a one-stop-shop business model.
We’ve learned that finding the right partners to represent our brand is essential to success. Our qualification process allows us to get to know you and for you to get to know us.
Qualifying Candidates
If you are interested in becoming a Stuff Etc franchise owner, the first step is submitting a franchise inquiry form. This covers basic information and whether you qualify under current ownership requirements. After your submission is reviewed, our team will discuss any questions you have and next steps in the process.
Current requirements for Stuff Etc franchisees include:
- Investment of approximately $295,000 to $445,000
- The total investment will be determined by the size of the location, leasehold improvements, terms of the lease and other factors not in our control.
- Liquid capital requirement of $88,000 to $134,000
- Assets that could be used as collateral $206,500 to $311,500
If you do not have these assets, it does not necessarily disqualify you. Franchisees may take out loans to provide the required capital for their store or partner with family or friends to qualify.
